Thank you for your interest in starting a peer-led REDgen Chapter at your school. Each REDgen Chapter requires an adult Chapter Advisor.

    Who can be a REDgen Chapter Adult Advisor?
    • Any on-site school licensed professional can be a Chapter Advisor
    • REDgen Chapter Advisors are most often counselors, school psychologists, special education teachers, or teachers or administrators passionate about youth mental well-being.
    Who are REDgen Peer Leaders?

    As a participant in the REDgen Chapter, you are a leader in your school community advocating and educating others to be connected, authentic, and resilient.

    • any student passionate about mental health and well-being can join a REDgen Chapter and become a REDgen Peer Leader.
    • REDgen Peer Leaders will participate in resilience education training and create awareness and educational campaigns and communications to share with the school community.
    • REDgen Peer Leaders will receive QPR gatekeeper training each fall semester.
    Is there a minimum number of Peer Leaders needed to start a Chapter?

    No. Some Chapters have 2-3 Peer Leaders to start and others have as many as 30 or more. Each Chapter is unique to your school and school culture.

    How often should the REDgen Chapter meeting be held?
    • Whenever your school has club meetings.
    • This should be considered a formal extracurricular club
    Is there a fee to host a REDgen Chapter?

    Yes, there is a nominal annual fee. The fee includes access to the evidence-based Roots of Resilience curriculum Peer Leaders will use to build their skills to improve their mental health and uplift their peers. The fee also includes REDgen Swag for all Peer Leaders and the REDgen Chapter Advisors, workshops for Chapter Advisors hosted by national experts, banners, recruitment materials, access to vetted school-wide activities, annual advisors full-day training, unlimited REDgen support, Youth QPR training for your students at your school, invitations to REDgen exclusive events. REDgen will direct you to grants and other funding sources to help you cover the annual fee.
