In the summer of 2013, several suicides affected families in the North Shore of Milwaukee. At that time, Abe and Beverly Goldberg lost their thirteen-year-old daughter, Abby. A group of us, including the Goldbergs, met to discuss how we could create a safety net for youth and prevent these tragedies from happening in the future. This group became known as REDgen. Over the past several years the impact of REDgen in the community has grown in size and scope.

REDgen advocates for the mental health and well-being of youth through the lens of resilience. We work with schools, faith based organizations and the larger community providing education through our REDgen Roots of Resilience curriculum, resources and collaboration.
